Hi! I'm Holly Valero. My background includes over 30 years of broadcasting, publishing, marketing, design and web programming. Radio, television, educational publishing, the newspaper industry, and seventeen plus years of Internet-specific design and development.
HollyWorks provides a full suite of what I like to call "idea to Web" services:
Custom
Website Design: all web design is naturally responsive (unless you
request mobile-specific or traditional website design) and built
utilizing a constantly growing collection of open source web design
tools: Modx, Wordpress (for blogs, campaign websites, or short-term
projects) and other Content Managment Systems (Fork, Impress Pages,
Joomla, etc.). Responsive design refers to building websites with a combination of multiple stylesheets and media queries, so instead of building a separate website for iPads, iPhones, and desktops, you build one website that reformats to comfortably fit any device.
Most
websites are a mix of Typekit or Google fonts, PHP, MySQL, and a ton of
jQuery scripts. You'll find loads of samples of all
kinds of design throughout this portfolio website, but if you have any

Logos
& Branding: Custom logo creation, plus all the trimmings from
business cards to envelopes and stationery, brochures, reports, labels
and packaging bling of all sorts.
Creative Design and Graphic
Design: everything from splash screens for iPhone and iPad apps to DVD
packaging, movie posters, and CD labels and packaging. All camera-ready
PDFs in CMYK to make printing easier.
Publishing: HTML5 packages and Digital Publishing - traditional and Kindle/Nook, etc.
Social:
Whether you need help setting up and maintaining a Fan page for your
organization or business, or a little Twitter account set up and
brainstorming.
