THE ACCESSIBLE VERSION OF THIS WEBSITE

The website was created with a highly-accessible combination of XHTML and Cascading Style Sheets (CSS). The pages are free of much of the traditional HTML coding that, while invisible to the average visitor, bogs down document reading software commonly used by blind or low-vision visitors.

In a nutshell, the code that defines layout and design, is removed from the Web page and placed into a separate stylesheet. Sighted visitors see the full graphic version, while visitors to hollyworks.com who rely upon document readers are served a combination of content and "invisible" shortcuts designed to speed access to the major sections within the page - without excess code or graphics.

This design was created to fit a single browser window with minimum scrolling. Layout and placement of navigation and search tools is consistent to make the site easy to use. Content is divided into shorter, easy-to-read segments.

This website exceeds Section 508 standards for accessibility, and meets the majority of Priorities I-III of the Web Consortium's Web Accessibility Initiative.

Is there anything that isn't accessible?

The portfolio section contains an image rollover effect to conserve space and illustrate multiple website page designs. The portfolio is purely visual.  |
